A native of Luoyang, Henan, became fascinated with the art of face-changing after joining Haidilao. By a stroke of luck, they had the opportunity to learn the craft and have been practicing it for nine years.

Aries Wang

Aries Wang holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Shanghai Fudan University. She then received her Master of Science in Teachers of English Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the University of Rochester. She has been successively engaged in Chinese-English bilingual education for years, teaching and creating online and offline educational content for Mandarin and English Language learners of all ages. Currently, she works full-time as a Mandarin teacher at a local independent school in the South Bay. As a teacher, she prides herself in being the “bridge” of connection and communication when teaching her students Mandarin. She knows that language learning can be tedious and difficult like any other skill. Learning Mandarin is not just associated with the language itself, it is about the culture and mindset. Starting in 2018, she's been partnering with libraries in the San Francisco Bay Area, including Berkeley Public Library, Foster City Library, Sunnyvale Public Library, Santa Clara City Library, Fremont Public Library, and Livermore Public Library, to host bilingual storytimes for kids in both Chinese and English.
